Christmobile Makes Good Showing

In The Sunoco Super Series

Anderson 150

The JC Racing Team is a non-denominational Christian Race Team that races the car called the Christmobile car number 316.  Driver Mike Bargo is a two - time champion in his home town of Corbin KY.  But the Sunoco Super Series is a big step up. The team worked hard and qualified 18th out of 33 cars to make the big show.

The top 20 cars are locked in and are in the race. The others have to run a last chance race to make the show or have points provisional and the rest will have to go home.

Mike Bargo ran a good race and was in 13th place with just seven laps to go when the right front tire went flat and he had to pit. The flat took them out and they fell back to finish 20th.

These things happen Gary Sturdivant president of JC Racing Team said.  I’m very proud of Mike and the team.  We all worked hard and although we don’t have the high dollar sponsors like some of these teams do we did all right. We had some old used tires Mike got off of his friend Billy Barton for us to practice on.  And I want to thank Lonnie Isom owner of L.I.Express for sponsoring two new tires for us to race on. I want to thank Mike Isom,  Ronnie with Parkway Motors and Steve with Elliott Backhoe & Dozier who took off work just to be there to help us. I also want to thank Acts2.com for sponsoring our Website Christmobile.com

We have a lot of fans that keep up with us from our Website. We have fans all over the world. From Corbin KY to Texas to Hawaii, New Zealand and even Pakistan. So we are very thankful we don’t have to pay for the Website.  We were running 13th our first time out with just seven laps to go when the tire went flat. Just think what we could do with some high dollar sponsors!

We hope to make the big show at IRP in May.
